Written and choreographed by Artistic Director Cassandra Kamakeeaina, Nightmare Before Nutcracker is an original ballet inspired by Tim Burton’s beloved 1993 cult classic, The Nightmare Before Christmas. This bold production invites audiences into the hauntingly beautiful Land of Nightmares, where the Queen of Nightmares tires of her gloomy kingdom and sets out in search of something more. Her journey leads her to the Land of Sweet Dreams, where candy confections come alive in dazzling, Nutcracker-style dances. But when she returns to her dark domain, the Queen realizes her kingdom has been missing one essential ingredient—Christmas cheer.
